Recipe of the week    

Hot sesame chia breakfast

Sesame seeds and chia seeds are both outstanding for building your bones. The chia also has omega-3 which is good for your joints and brain. I have been doing a liquid diet mediation this month and came up with this quick hot liquid breakfast.

This works best with a coffee grinder rather than a blender.
Put in a coffee grinder:
  • 1 Tbsp chia
  • 1 Tbsp sesame seeds
  • cinnamon
  • pinch of sea salt
  • sweetener of choice: agave nektar, coconut sugar, or cane sugar

Grind all til fine. Transfer the mix to a 12-oz cup. Add 1 cup hot water or hot almond, soy, or cow's milk.

Or just use 1/3 c. liquid and leave it as a thick pudding and add apples and top with Greek yogurt.
Optional to add cinnamon and coconut oil for extra brain food!
Let the mixture sit a few minutes for the chia to thicken it.

If you are traveling, bring the ground mixture with you. 
Or the seeds and your coffee grinder too!

I once added this mix to a café latte and it was really good!

Eating Meditation 

Whenever you eat, just eat! That’s it! Do not do anything else. No TV, no checking email, no reading a book. If possible even eat alone. Really taste your food. Be grateful for all the people that made your food possible – farmers, suppliers, grocery store employees, and cooks. Try this for 21 days straight!
